Investigation of the Awareness of Accuracy and Reliability on Internet Based Sources.

Abstract
Aim of the study is to examine the relationship between the awareness of high school students’ accuracy and reliability on Internet based sources, the Internet self-efficacy and the department type. In this study, relational survey model was used and it’s been used 11th grade students of Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Maritime Vocational High School. The data was collected from a total of 40 students who were selected randomly 20 by 20 among the Information Technologies and Ship Management programs. As data collection tools, Self-efficacy Belief on Internet Usage Scale and the Awareness Survey were used. According to the results, the awareness of 11th grade high school students about the accuracy and the reliability on Internet based information sources are not related with, students` Internet self-efficacy and their departments. As a result, the awareness about the accuracy and reliability of Internet based sources of the subjects is found to be inadequate.
